During pregnancy and after giving birth, a mother’s body undergoes numerous changes both internal and external. After nine months of carrying the baby weight within her body, it is inevitable that the mother’s body will take time to get back to normal. However, some women tend to put on weight after giving birth to the baby.
During pregnancy, the mother feels like her body is never ever going to be the same, which is true to an extent. At least internally, the body undergoes some changes that occur during the fetal growth and after the baby’s birth.
Getting back into perfect shape and a healthy body however, requires some effort on your part. Some simple tricks will make you feel and become fit, healthy and in perfect shape.
It is also important to get back your sexual libido for a healthy married life.
A lot of couples complain about lack of intimacy after the birth of a baby. Once the baby is born, the mother finds her hands full with taking care of the baby and barely gets time for her husband and even herself. This, however, should not be the case. It is important to learn to manage your schedule around the baby and also keep some time alone for yourself and your partner.
Some of the things that can be done to make you feel confident and get back to a healthy routine life are:
#1 Dress well
Apply a little make-up, spray on some perfume and walk with grace. This will not only make you feel vibrant and carefree but will also give others the feeling that the baby has not hampered your confidence or your lifestyle.
#2 Treat your body to a massage once in a while. You deserve it!
#3 Visit the parlor regularly.
Get waxed, treat yourself to a manicure, a pedicure, get a new hairstyle and dress to impress your spouse like earlier. You will yourself feel the change within you, in your relationship with your spouse and in your life when you healthily balance it with your baby.
#4 Go shopping.
Buy glamorous dresses, shop for sexy lingerie.
#5 Wear subtle shades to make your skin look fresh and glowing.
Colour co-ordinate your clothes with that of the baby’s to have a fuller feel that your life has changed for the better and that you are enjoying every moment of it.
#6 Exercise to keep in shape.
#7 Dress up once in a while
Welcome your spouse when he returns from a long day at work. But on a little make-up, style your hair nicely; this will give a fresh feel to the relationship. This also makes the spouse aware that you still relish his presence in his life.
These little efforts on your part will make your spouse realize that the birth of the baby does not mean that they are now number two. They also come to realize their importance in yours and the baby’s life.
